The Comley House located at 910 Radcliffe Street. The portion on the left was built prior to 1765. Abraham Comley was born in December 1733 and was married in 1763. This is considered to be the oldest known private home on Radcliffe Street. -

This was built in 1874 as a one-room school house built for the Friends (Quaker), and was sold to the Bristol Cultural and Historical Foundation, Inc. in 1991. The artist Michele Pavone is the daughter of Joseph Pavone, a founder of B.C.H.F. -

Built in 1914 at Beaver and Prospect Streets at a cost of $75,000. Bristol’s previous post office was on Radcliffe Street at Market Street. Bristol’s first post office was on Mill Street, started in 1790. -

[First United Methodist Church, interior]
On front: "No. 5 Nichols Photo." On back: First United Methodist Church, Mulberry Street and Cedar Street set for a Christmas pageant pre-1933. Church organized 1788; first structure erected 1803; second building erected 1845 on the site of the original church on the 300 block of Wood Street. The third structure was built at Mulberry and Wilson Streets in 1895. This interior shot is of the third building. Interior in front of sanctuary has been altered. -

Merchant Shipyard Building No. 13, which was used as general storage. The third floor was used as a “Mold Loft” at time of photograph. -

[Landreth Seed Baseball Team 1938]
This photograph was taken on a field between the Pennsylvania Railroad and Otter Street called Sullivan’s Field. The score board is Spencer’s Furniture. Spencer operated a Furniture store at Mill and Radcliffe Streets. Landreth Seed Team was from the Landreth Seed Farm, between Green Lane and Radcliffe Street to the Edgely Section of Bristol Township.
David Landreth is kneeling in front row, 4th from left. The field is now the building of the Penco Tech School.

"Island Beach, N.J."
Pier of Island Beach (Burlington Island) opposite Bristol. Note the roller coaster in the background (right) and the abundance of canoes on the left. Steamboats from Philadelphia and Trenton regularly stopped at the amusement park and ferry boat service from Bristol and Burlington were available. The park was very popular in the first two decades of the twentieth century. A second fire in 1934 destroyed the park. -
Postcard: "Island Beach, N.J."
Canoe Race of the Young Men’s Association. Burlington Island Beach park attracted many people from Bristol. Between 1900 and 1917, the area was mostly used for swimming, boating, and picnics. In about 1917, an amusement park was created with various amusement rides. The park burned in 1928 and again in 1934, and all summer activities ceased. Bristol had a Y.M.A club (Young Men’s Association) and canoes used by members was a popular summer activity. The word Nichols on the front was the name of the photographer. Nichols started their studio after WWI. -

Postcard: "Municipal Building--Bristol, PA"
Bristol Borough Municipal Building opened in 1927, including the fire company and engines, were a gift to the Borough by Joseph R. Grundy. Located at Pond Street and Mulberry Street, it replaced the old town hall which was located in the middle of Market Street facing Radcliffe Street.
