Frankford Cleaners is at the corner of Monroe and Farragut Avenue. Fleetwing Transportation Office was related to Kaiser Metal (Fleetwings Division Plant on Radcliffe Street). Originally the Administrator Offices of the Merchant Shipbuilding Corporation occupied the block from Monroe Street south toward Fillmore Street. Schematic of streets on back. -

Building on left is former ferry boat terminal and part of Lions Park. Street shown is between Market and Mill Street called Water Street. Currently this is known as Samuel Clift Drive. Bristol Theatre (for film) was replaced by the Bristol Riverside Theatre (for drama). -

Across the street is the Acme Grocery Market on Bath Street at Otter Street. It appears that a cook and five waitresses are posing outside the hotel (all unidentified). The Keystone Hotel was formerly called the Hotel Closson. -

This was later replaced by a concrete bridge, followed by the filling in of this section of the canal.

The concrete Forge Bridge allowing Beaver Street to pass over the Delaware Canal was constructed in 1928, replacing the previous wooden bridge. On the left of the photograph is a one-story building where an iron forge stood; hence the name of the bridge. The tall white factory beyond the bridge is the Grundy Worsted Mill. The tan stone building behind the bridge is the factory that was built to manufacture wallpaper and later became Landreth Seed Packing and Williamson Radio Co. This section of the canal has since been filled in and the bridge was removed in 1960. -

After the war this was the site of various soap manufacturing plants (Manhattan, Purex, and Dial). As of 2020, the building is operated by Lenox China Company that moved from New Jersey and made this location their headquarters. -
