"Bristol High School Baseball Team of 1931"
Bristol High School was established at its current location of Garfield and Wilson Avenue in 1923 after Harriman was annexed by Bristol in 1922. Photograph may have been taken on Jefferson Avenue, based on smoke stacks visible to the left. Individuals are unidentified. -

This is the Otter Creek as it passes under the former bridge on Bath Road. The creek has overflowed its banks in the picture. This is the south side of the bridge. Opposite side of the bridge is Silver Lake. -
"Island Beach 1924"
Bathers in the Delaware River. This was a park of Burlington Island opposite Bristol. Access was by boat between 1917 and 1934. There were powered amusement rides; fire ruined the amusements in 1934. It had a carousel, roller coaster, a small train, etc. Steamboats brought people from Wilmington, DE, Philadelphia, and Trenton to the park. -

"Leedom's, Bristol Twilight League Champions of 1928"
Leedom’s Mill Twilight League was sponsored by Leedom’s Carpet Mill, located at Beaver and Pond Streets. The site is now the Grundy Recreation Center (Ice Skating Rink). Leedom’s recreation field was located along Beaver Street opposite the factory. The field in 2009 had a new elementary school being constructed.

[Boat ramp to the right of the Mill Street Wharf at the Delaware River]
The ramp was removed and large boulders replaced it. This happened when the waterfront park was improved and four ethnic monuments were added. Festivals are sponsored each summer and in October each year is Historic Bristol Day. -

Water is taken from the Delaware River, filtered and purified, and then sent to homes for home consumption. -
