Some visible buildings which no longer stand include the Bristol Flower Growers greenhouses located on Pond Street (left side of photo), the smoke stack at Bristol Water Works (lower left), St. Mark's School on Radcliffe Street (demolished in 1971), the Keene House (lower right along river), Elm Street row of houses which burned about 1985, factory buildings opposite of Grundy Mill on Jefferson Avenue (where recreation area is located), and Leedom Carpet Mill located where the Grundy Ice Rink complex stands on Beaver Street. -

"Leedom's, Bristol Twilight League Champions of 1928"
Leedom’s Mill Twilight League was sponsored by Leedom’s Carpet Mill, located at Beaver and Pond Streets. The site is now the Grundy Recreation Center (Ice Skating Rink). Leedom’s recreation field was located along Beaver Street opposite the factory. The field in 2009 had a new elementary school being constructed.

"Bristol Carpet Mills, T. L. Leedom & Co., Bristol, Pa., Manufacturers of ingrain carpets, art squares, and Smyrna rugs"
Originally constructed by the Bristol Improvement Company and Joshua Peirce, the mill was later owned by Thomas L. Leedom and Co. Location was at Beaver Street and Canal Street. Buildings have since been removed. -

Located on Beaver Street near Pond Street and opened in 1877. Was the last mill brought to Bristol by the Bristol Improvement Company. The carpet mill closed in the 1950s and an oil industry used the building until it was removed for the construction of the Grundy Recreation Center and Ice Rink circa 2000. -
