Postcard: "Post Office, Bristol, PA."
The large brick building on the right once housed the Bristol Post Office, which moved to its present location in 1914 on Beaver and Prospect Streets. The upper story was used as a meeting room. Later, shops were located in the building which was at Radcliffe and Market Streets. The stone building adjacent to the Post Office was a bank, The Bristol Trust Company, which opened in 1908. Note the trolley and tracks. -
Postcard: "Croydon, PA"
Bridge connecting Croydon (Bristol Township) and Bridgewater (Bensalem Township) over the Neshaminy Creek. Trolley appears to be going toward Bensalem Township. The electric trolley ran on US Route 13 (Bristol Pike) from circa 1900-1932. A trolley yard was located in Croydon on the right side going north. -

Spruce Street Crossing Pennsylvania Railroad (P.R.R). Bristol, PA.
When the PRR was elevated in 1900, six underpasses were required on Otter Street, Bath Street, Spruce Street, Corson Street, Beaver Street, and Jefferson Avenue. Two were required over water. One was over Otter Creek, which came from Silver Lake and the other was over the Canal above Jefferson Avenue. -

Photograph showing tracks that went through the Old Route 13 and Mill Street crossroad. There were four tracks that went through town. -
Postcard: "Pennsylvania R. R. Station, Bristol, Pa."
Bristol’s Pennsylvania Railroad Station at Prospect and Beaver Street opened November 1911, following the elevation of tracks through the town. Track level buildings had been removed and replaced by smaller covered waiting platforms. The ground level office was restored and has been a coffee/sandwich shop (2002) and a child care facility (2019). -
Postcard: "Delaware River Scene, Bristol, Pennsylvania"
P.A. Turnpike Bridge. Construction of the bridge over the Delaware River to connect the P.A. and N.J. Turnpikes was from October 1954 – November 1955 and opened in 1956 when P.A. Governor George Leader and N.J. Governor Robert Meyner spoke at the dedication. The Bristol High School Band and their counterpart from N.J. played for the occasion. -

Burlington – Bristol Bridge opened in 1931, replacing the ferry service that was operated by William Doron. Photograph taken south of the bridge. Original ferry service started in 1681 by Samuel Clift. -

Also visible is Bishop Eagan School and the parish house. St. Michael's Church had not yet been built. The smaller lake has been filled in. The large lake is Levittown Lake. The section of houses around the lake is a section called Lakeside. On the top left is the Lakeside pool. On the right is the school. Additionally on the left is the Levittown Parkway. -
