Description

The Local History Photo Binders Collection was compiled and mostly identified by Grundy Library volunteers Harold and Carol Mitchener, with a majority of the photo descriptions provided by these volunteers. The collection contains a selection of original photographs and some photocopies of originals that the library was allowed to make and use from donors unwilling to part with the originals. Though this is no longer practiced by the library, some of the photocopies have significant historical and informational value to the public despite the lack of originals that could not be tracked down. Due to the fact that the original ownership of some of these copies is unknown, any photocopied materials are not featured online in this collection as they could pose potential image rights issues. Photocopies can be viewed physically with the collections by appointment.

The Collection is organized by subject and labelled by collection number, binder number, then photograph number.
